Dr. Marco Ferrone is a highly qualified cardiologist with extensive clinical and research experience. He earned his medical degree from the Federico II University of Naples, where he subsequently obtained his medical license and specialization in cardiology. He further enhanced his academic career by earning a PhD in cardiovascular pathophysiology and therapies from the same university. He currently serves as a specialist in interventional cardiology and intensive care at the Montevergine Clinic in Mercogliano, Italy. He has also held important research positions, including a fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York, USA.
Dr. Ferrone is an active member of prestigious scientific societies such as the Italian Society of Cardiology and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. He has served on the editorial board of Italian Journal of Invasive Cardiology He has published extensively in internationally renowned medical journals, addressing topics ranging from peripheral arterial disease to the use of bioabsorbable scaffolds. He is also the inventor of a patented device for closing patent foramen ovale (PFO).
